Some long time regular Hashers at Capital Hash
The Mailing List
Capital Hash has had a Yahoo Group since 2001. You can join the group in order to receive weekly emails containing the trash and details of future runs. You can ignore the mailing list and look at this web site or join it anyway.
Of course, you can also go directly to the Capitalhash YahooGroups website itself. You can get lost for hours reading hash trashes going back to 2001. Our advice is to drink beer instead.
How to get on the mailing list
There are 2 ways of doing this. One requires a Yahoo account and the other does not. If you already have a Yahoo account, then the first option is probably better. If you don't want yet another web site user name and password to manage then the 2nd option is better.
Option 1 : Click to join CapitalHash mailing list at Yahoo Groups
This option implies you already have a Yahoo account or are prepared to create a new one.
You will then receive an email from YahooGroups asking you to confirm that you really want to join (by sending a reply email) and you are done. You do not need an existing Yahoo account to do this.
Whatever you do, do NOT ask Squatter to "put" you on the mailing list. The mailing list is run by Yahoo and these are the 2 ways to get onto it. 99% of hashers are able to do this without a fuss. Do NOT be one of the 1% !!!
How to get OFF the mailing list
At the bottom of all mailing list emails, you may see something like :
Take a wild guess what you should do next ... yep, click on "Unsubscribe". Just to spell that out one more time, click on "Unsubscribe" on your email, not the example shown above on this page. When you click on "Unsubscribe", it will kick off an email to Yahoogroups with the unsubscribe command. Send this email. Do not cancel it unless you wish to remain subscribed.
If you can not follow this and you ask someone else to unsubscribe you, BigBoy will be sent around to strain warm Tun through his used underwear and pour it down your throat.
Mailing List Problem ?
If you have a problem with the mailing list (eg not getting emails), just ask Squatter and he will sort it out. There is nothing wrong with YahooGroups mailing lists. It is just that it adopts an automatic way of doing things. If it repeatedly tries to send an email and it fails, it will suspend further sending until someone unsuspends it. Squatter can do this (as of March 2014). Are you reading me Sex Change ?
